Our renovation journey begins in Normandy with the purchase of a 'little fixer-upper' in the Autumn of 2014. It took a little time to find the right place, but we felt this neglected and very 'rustic' farmhouse in Glatigny was just perfect. We weren't looking for a self-catering holiday rental or a gite, we wanted somewhere we could love and make beautiful again. Glatigny Farmhouse was perfect - we could make it our own and the location was idyllic yet close to vibrant towns and just moments away from a stunning beach.

It was really important to us to try to maintain the original character of this incredibly old house, whilst bringing in the comforts and luxuries that make somewhere homely and special.

When we purchased Glatigny Farmhouse, it had no water, electric nor sewage and required a complete strip back to the bare shell. The project has been something we feel honoured to have done, but it was certainly not without its struggles!

Along the way we have suffered a flood, a hospital visit and have taken in far many natural 'waifs and strays', amongst other things!
